Elder Teddy Byron Billings, Sr., 83, of Kegley, WV went to his heavenly home to be with our Father God, on Monday, July 31, 2023.  Born August 4th, 1939, in Mullens, WV, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Ella Mae (Green) Billings.

He was a hardworking, beloved husband, Daddy and Poppy and the Rock of his family.   Teddy's Christian faith was an essential part of his life where he served as an Elder and Deacon at Camp Creek Primitive Church in Camp Creek, WV for many years; he loved reading his bible and sharing the word of God and had a Bible story for any situation and could lift any broken heart.  His smile was infectious and to know him was to love him.  He never met a stranger and would literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

Teddy was a former clerk at N&W Railroad where he retired, and before that he was a service station mechanic where he met his wife Geneva Faye (Milam).  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by six brothers, Thomas (TD), James, John, Wilkie, Ward and Oliver; and five sisters, Ruth Morgan, Juanita Morgan, Virginia Cook, Martha Cline and, and Carol Sizemore.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 64 years Geneva Faye (Milam) Billings, Johnny Ray Billings and his fiancé Denice Blankenship, of Rock; James Andrew (Andy) Milam and his wife Sandy of Waskom Texas; Teddy Byron Billings Jr and his wife Brenda of Oklahoma City, OK; Ella Fae Billings Meadows and her husband Joseph (Joe) of Princeton, WV; Ruth Launa Adams and her husband Mike of Pipestem, WV;  Andrea Faye Billings Butler of Kegley, WV; one sister, Annie Ashley of Amigo; one brother Carl Billings and his wife Brenda of Shady Spring, WV; 19 grandchildren, Levi and Mika Butler, Tiffani, Bethani, Emeli Cline, Hailey Alexandira Hurst, Jackson Hurst, Toni Meadows Phillips, Erica Meadows Powell, Ryan and Bryce Meadows, Teddy Bryon Billings III, Kayla Ketch, Stephanie Ralls, James Alfred Milam, Matthew Billings, Joyce Billings, Kimberly Dawn Aeadah, and his Granddaughter Tamera Fae Lester who was more like a daughter and called him Daddy; and numerous great grandchildren.  A special friend Dr. Vishnu Patel of Princeton, WV who took great care of him during his illness.

A celebration of Teddy's life will take place on his birthday, Friday, August 4th, at 2:00 pm at Memorial funeral home, 654 Athens Road, Princeton, WV with Elder Robert "Bobby" Billings officiating.  Family can call at 1:30 prior to his service.
