Edward Harold Barr, 85, of Nubbins Ridge Road, Spanishburg, died Saturday, December 2, 2023. Born September 29, 1938, in Spanishburg, he was the son of the late Charlie Barr and Ollie Poe Barr. Edward retired as a fireman with 22 years service in Washington, DC. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Larry, Ray, Hazel, Howard, Blanche, Charles, Roy and Gene. He is survived by one son, Edward Harold Barr, II of Spanishburg; Several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services will be held at Noon, Friday, December 8, 2023, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the WV Honor Guard. Those attending the services are requested to meet at the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton no later than 11:45 A.M.
