Duane Eugene Neely, 77, of Seminole Circle, Mt. Hope, formerly of Princeton, died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born. July 21. 1946, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Earnest Eugene Neely and Dorothy Mae Manning Neely Clark. He retired as a Network Consultant designing IT systems for the WV Supreme Court and for all Circuit Courts in the State of WV. Duane was also a Computer Technology Teacher. He was recently confirmed into the Catholic Church at Saint Peter & Paul in Oak Hill WV in April of 2023. He enjoyed WV history, anything having to do with the Virginia Tech Hokies of which he had many fond memories while attending school there. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Sharon Level Neely. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Sharon Cheek; Niece, Teresa S. Hogge. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor C.T. Lilly, III officiating. Friends may visit with family from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Organ Cave, WV.
