Dottie Kay
Mccutcheon
Jun 13, 1952 — Mar 26, 2025
Dottie Kay McCutcheon 72 of Princeton passed away unexpectedly at UVA Charlottesville on Wednesday, March 26 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was known for her contagious smile and her true love for others. She loved the Lord and was often heard inviting others to church. Her greatest joy was her family, and she always made sure that every experience with them was special. She would drop everything just to be with her family. Her smile and kindness will remain in all the hearts and lives she touched. Dottie was retired but remained active volunteering at PCH/WVU Medicine. Her warm smile, kind heart, and gentle presence touched everyone she encountered-patients, staff, fellow volunteers, and the little ones she cared for as she would often help in the nursey when there were babies that needed extra love and care. She loved shopping and eating out. Her favorite past time other than being with her family was spending time on the lake. Dottie attended Kellysville Church of God regularly for over 30 years. She loved her church and would always talk about how much she did. Dottie was born June 13, 1952, in Charleston WV to the late Odie D Jones and Dorothy Katherine Jones. Left to cherish her memory and honor her life is her loving husband of 53 years, Donnie Lee McCutcheon, daughter Mindy Hawkins and husband James, son Donnie Lee McCutcheon II and wife Susan all of Princeton. Siblings Margaret Ungaro and husband Bill of Orlando FL, Odie Jones II (Corkey) and wife Carole of Memphis TN, Gary Jones and wife Bonnie of Niles OH, and Patrick Jones and wife Connie of Charleston WV. Her grandsons and the light of her life Christopher Hawkins and wife Madeline, Trey McCutcheon, Spencer Hawkins, and Skylar McCutcheon all of Princeton plus a bundle of nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will take place at her church, Kellysville Church of God, 4:00 P.M. Sunday, March 30, 2025, with Pastor Franklin Atkins officiating. Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2:00 until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Kellysville Church of God. Memorial Funeral Directory & Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton has the honor of the arrangements of our sweet mom.
