Dossie Virginia Pettrey Wiley, 87, of the Summers County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hinton, formerly of Hackett Ridge, Pettry died peacefully Sunday afternoon, June 10, 2007 at her residence. Born June 20, 1919, at Pettry, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lona Brookman Pettrey. She was educated in Mercer County, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Dossie was a member of the Church of Christ at Pettry. She loved to quilt and sew, and loved to work puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Otis T. Wiley, along with three brothers; Denis Pettrey, Donzie Pettrey and Delmar Red Pettrey and her son in law, Bobby King. Survivors Her two daughters, Patsy Wiley King of Princeton Connie Fay Wiley of Athens One granddaughter Robin Lynn Wiley of Athens One brother Dale Pettrey of Bent Mountain Several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 13, 2007 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Roger Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Phillips Family Cemetery, on Browns Ridge Road, Lerona. Friends may visit with the family today from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
