Obituary

Donna Jill Meadows Keaton, 63 of Spanishburg, WV, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Princeton Community Hospital. She was born on December 17, 1961, in Princeton, WV. She was the daughter of the late Maynard and Virginia "Billings" Meadows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Claude Keaton; mother-in-law, Ruby Keaton; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Keaton and Edmond Keaton Sr.; and one sister-in-law, Lori Keaton. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family. She looked forward to her annual sister's retreats with her five sisters. She loved sitting around and picking with her four brothers. She loved her family gatherings and reunions. Donna loved gardening, crafting, and enjoying the outdoors. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them different crafts. She loved spoiling her dog, Abby. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Gary Marshall Keaton, of the home; her two daughters, Jill Keaton, of Spanishburg, WV, Vanessa Howell and husband, Derrick, of Lerona, WV; four grandchildren, Hannah Dailey, Hailley Dailey, John Colton Howell and McKenzie Howell. She is also survived by her five sisters; her twin Diana Adkins, of Lexington, NC, Lorene Vaught and husband, Reggie, of Beeson, WV; Wanda Vaught and husband, Fred, of Beeson, WV; Deanna Wilson and husband, Mark, of Sophia, NC; and Dora Jean Meadows, of Beeson, WV; four brothers; Maynard Meadows and wife, Denise, of Princeton, WV; Terry Meadows, of Spanishburg, WV; Earl Meadows and companion, Ruby, of Pisgah, NC and Randy Meadows and wife, Tina, of Thomasville NC; two brothers-in-law; Danny Keaton and wife, Haletta, of Big Rock, VA; Randy Keaton, of Spanishburg, WV; three sisters-in-law; Deborah Keaton, of Spanishburg, WV; Brenda Keaton, of Spanishburg, WV; and Mary Jane Keaton and companion, Bobby, of Lerona, WV and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 29, 2025, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Stanley Metz officiating. Burial will follow in the Keaton Family Cemetery in Pipestem. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from Noon until the service hour.
