Donna Louise Bennett, 78, of Princeton, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at her home. Born September 26, 1946, at Ballard, she was the daughter of the late Harvey L. Adkins and Mildred Thomason Adkins.

Donna had worked in several sewing factories and had worked for Walmart in Christiansburg and Princeton. She was a member of New Zion Regular Baptist Church. Donna loved her family and enjoyed reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Lloyd D. Bennett, one daughter, LaDonna Faye Bennett, one sister, Frances May Adkins, one son-in-law, John E. Vest Jr., one brother-in-law, Roger L. Hatfield and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Left to cherish her memory, four children and spouses, Deborah L. Allen (James) of Princeton, Lloyd Bennett Jr. (Connie) Somersworth, NH, Lillian B. Vest of Staunton, VA and Lisa B. Zavala (Isau) Princeton; Grandchildren, Cadence Allen, Caleb H. Bennett, Dante, Ethan and Haley Vest, Xavier and Amethyst Zavala and a special nephew, who was like a grandson, John Michael Williams; Two sisters, June Hatfield of Ballard and Sandra Williams (John) of Princeton; A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 1, 2024, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Willis Carr and Shawn Murnahan officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ballard Baptist Church Cemetery at Ballard. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family serve as pallbearers.
