Donald Ray Patton, 83, of Pipestem & Yulee FL, died suddenly Friday evening, May 19, 2023, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born April 28, 1940, in Yukon, he was the son of the late Charlie Patton & Eula Holland Patton Hamilton. Don was a Master Baker for Hostess Cake Company when he lived in California. As a resident of Florida, Don continued to work in a bakery, before starting and owning various businesses there. He was the founder of A & D Tire Company. Don was a man of faith. He knew the Bible and taught Sunday School. Don had a gift in his teachings that made others want to attend. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Don often served as the voice of reason, especially to his boys when they needed it. He had an impeccable memory and enjoyed telling stories of his life. Don enjoyed singing old songs, was a collector of antique cars and loved attending antique car shows. He often played jokes on his family & friends, but all would agree that he was the hardest working man they ever knew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by five siblings: Jim, Robert, J.K., Charlie Jr. & Shelby St. Clair. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Tonia Porter Patton, children, Randall Patton, Donald Patton, Kenneth Vinson & Sarah Wendell, eleven grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren along with five siblings: Randall Patton, Richard Patton, Drema Jessie, Joyce Martin & Sharon Whitt and a host of nieces and nephews.
