Dinah Kay Pettrey, 71, of Princeton, died Friday evening, July 3, 2026, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born March 11, 1955, in Narrows, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late David Janney & Mary Illene Spicer Janney. Dinah was a graduate of Narrows High School and received her nursing degree from Bluefield State College. She retired from Princeton Community Hospital with more than 32 years of service. Dinah was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing diamond art.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Gary Wayne Pettrey, a grandson Sean Austin Boyles along with two sisters, Bobbie Snidow & Gloria Woods.

Those left to cherish her memory, her four loving children, Christina & Sean Boyles, Gary W. & Crystal Pettrey Jr., Greg & Amanda Pettrey, Gavin & Madison Pettrey. Grandchildren, Cordell C. Boyles, Peydon W. Akers, Austin Hodges, Brent Farley, Grace Pettrey & Grant C. Pettrey, one great grandchild, Corben D. Boyles. One Brother Jerry Janney along with nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Dinah’s life will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton. Inurnment will be held at a later day at Elgood Cemetery.
