Dianna Arlene
Carrico
Apr 17, 1953 — Jun 2, 2025
Dianna Arlene Carrico, 72 of Rock, WV, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 17, 1953, in Mullens, WV. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Robert Whitt and Beulah Wyatt Whitt.
After graduating from Mullens High School in 1971, Dianna attended Marshall University before starting her professional career as a Speech Language Pathologist. Dianna had many talents, using them throughout her time as a student in various plays as a singer and actress. Her gift for music allowed her to start playing the piano at age 14 and eventually go on to become Mrs. North Carolina 1989.
While her list of talents is long, nothing was more important to her than her family. Dianna would start her family with her childhood sweetheart, Robert "Rob" Lee Carrico, III. Rob had a crush on Dianna since she was six years old, they would begin dating when they were seventeen and would become married in 1972 at the age of nineteen. Dianna never missed a recital or dance competition for either of her children. She had a deep devotion in her faith, making sure her daily devotion was in an area for her children to see her and learn by her commitment.
In addition to Rob, Dianna is survived by her son, Robbie Carrico and fiancée, Melissa Wright; daughter, Samara McGahey and husband, Bob; grandchildren, Cayden Wright, Bailey Wright, Shai McGahey, Eden McGahey, Lucy McGahey, Irelyn McGahey, and Macklin McGahey; siblings, Sandy Kirby and husband, David, and Kevin Whitt and wife, Melissa; brother-in-law, Tim Carrico and wife, Karen; sister-in-law, Alicia Price and husband, Randy; 4 nieces and 2 nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mullens United Methodist Church of Mullens, WV on June 14th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour. The family requests those attending wear red in honor of Dianna's favorite color.
The Carrico family is being served by Memorial Funeral Directory, Princeton, WV.
