Dennis Lee Yena, 81, of Bluefield, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Bluestone Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born January 5, 1944, at Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Karl H. Yena and Lucille M. McCarron Yena. Dennis graduated from Sweetwater High School, Sweetwater, TN, prior to studying political science at Georgetown University, Washington D.C. obtaining a PhD. Dennis would use his degree to educate students in his field at Bluefield State University. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a sister, Janice A. Yena. Survivors include his brother, Karl F. Yena and wife, Sallie S. Yena.  A Private Graveside Service will be held with John Puckett officiating in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell. The Yena family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
