Obituary

Delores J. Weese

Princeton

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Delores J. Weese, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, who touched countless lives with her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit. Born on April 9, 1935, in Princeton, West Virginia, Delores passed away on April 16, 2026, just days after celebrating her 91st birthday—a life beautifully lived and deeply loved. Delores was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Curtis B. Weese; her son, Dwain Stewart Weese; her parents, Clarence (Cabin) and Frankie Hall; and her sisters, Joann Beckelheimer and Kitty Skeens. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry her in their hearts: her children, Debra Lynn Sutphin and her companion, Red Heis, of Peterstown, West Virginia; Allen Curtis Weese and his wife Vanessa of Horsepasture, Virginia; and Wendy Kaye Knight and her husband Philip of Princeton, West Virginia. Her siblings, Linda Christian and Dirk Hall & wife Belinda Sue). Delores was a proud and devoted grandmother to Jessica Combs (spouse Ebert), Ocal Smith II (spouse Crystal), Shawn Sutphin (spouse Jessica), Kiley R. Weese, Tisha Weese, Kelly Norris (spouse Austin), Dakota Weese (spouse Melody), Megan Thompson (spouse Randy), Levi Knight, Skylar Weese & Braylan Weese. She was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren, with 3 preceding her in death, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Delores found joy in life's simple, beautiful moments. She loved the outdoors, often finding peace in nature's quiet rhythms. She had a gift for writing poetry, capturing thoughts and feelings in ways that lingered long after the words were read. Above all, she was a true people person—her warmth drew others in, and her kindness made them stay. To know her was to feel welcome. She worked over the years at the bowling alley, East River Pharmacy, and Ched's Discount Store, where she built lasting friendships and brightened many days. She was also a faithful attendee of Princeton Advent Christian Church. Her life was a steady light—soft, enduring, and full of love. Though she is no longer with us, her presence remains in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the family she cherished so deeply. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Services to celebrate the life of Delores Weese will be held 2:00 P.M.
