Deborah Lynn Stone, 71, of Eleventh Street, Princeton, died Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Mercer Rehab in Bluefield. Born December 20, 1952, in Elgood, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Meadows and Nettie Mae Whitlow Meadows. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a 1970 graduate of Athens High School, earned her LPN and worked for the Sam Perdue Correctional Center. Debbie loved decorating for the holidays, especially for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Stone, Sr., two brothers, Jerry Grand Meadows and Albert Lee Meadows and one sister, Carol Sue Holdren. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Chris Young and wife Christa, Greg Young and wife Stephanie and Brandon Young and wife Heather; One sister, Sharon Kay Anderson; Nine grandchildren; Two great-grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
