David “Animal” Lee Woody, 71, of Princeton, passed away suddenly Monday, July 27, 2026, at his home. Born March 24, 1955, in Bluefield, he was the son of the late John and Effie Moore Woody. David worked rebuilding Electric Motors, but his joy was riding motorcycles and enjoying anything Harley Davidson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Kay McCoy and brother-in-law, Mike Adkins. Survivors include his son, Terry Smith and wife, Jennifer; grandsons, Nathan Lee Smith and fiancée, Raelee, John Brady Smith, Cody Layne Smith, Michael Long; Three Sisters, Sandra Adkins, Barbara Woody Hutchins and husband, David, and Joetta McKee; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; special friend and boss of 35 years, Kermit Wiley.
