David Simons, 53, entered into the presence of the Lord on Friday, April 18, surrounded by family and friends.

David was born on March 19, 1972, in Bluefield, WV to Robert and Vickie Simons. As a child, he excelled in sports and carried that passion into adulthood. He was an avid Pirates fan and enjoyed watching football on Sundays. On weekends, he could often be found cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events.

David worked as a utility locator for USIC, a role he truly enjoyed. He took pride in his work and deeply appreciated the unwavering support and kindness of his coworkers throughout his time there.

He recently began attending church and developed a profound love for the Lord. David made it his mission to share that love with others.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Vickie Simons.

He is survived by his sister, Lynn Croy; his son, Terry Simons; his daughter, Kayla Atkinson; grandchildren, River and Ryleigh Atkinson; niece, Laken Wellman; great-niece, Gwendolyn Wellman; cousin, Trisha Williams; and best friend, Kevin.

His family takes solace in knowing that David is rejoicing in Heaven with his Lord and Savior.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 25, 2025, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Michael Bishop officiating. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the service time.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.  Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com.
