David Franklin Price, Sr., 70, of Princeton, died peacefully Monday afternoon, July 18, 2022, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born May 22, 1952, in Rich Creek, VA, he was the son of the late Buford Haven Price and Emma Dean Price Lilly. David was a graduate of Athens High School Class of 1970. He was the former owner/operator of Kenny's Drive Inn, Manager of Captain D's Restaurant in Beckley and Deli Manager of the Little General at Kegley. David was an avid NASCAR fan. Survivors include his son, Dr. David Franklin "Frankie" Price, Jr. and wife, Alexis; Three siblings, Sue Burton (Donald), Ricky Price (Deborah) and Jimmy Lilly; Host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 21, 2022, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Stephen Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow in the Honaker Family Cemetery near Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
