David R. Nance, 57, of Crozier Hollow on Elkhorn Mtn., died on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at his home. Born August 27, 1965, in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of the late Homer T. Nance and Barbara Mullis Nance. David spent most of his life in McDowell County. He was a construction worker by trade.  David loved spending time with his uncles, aunts and cousins that lived nearby. They all looked after David and helped him anyway they could. David loved to make everyone laugh and was a friend to everyone that knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Homer L. Nance. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Brenda Nance Sizemore; Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. The family has honored his request that he be cremated with no services.
