David Brian
Dunn
Sep 19, 1960 — Oct 25, 2025
September 19, 1960 – October 25, 2025
David Dunn, 65, of Princeton, West Virginia, passed away on October 25, 2025. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, on September 19, 1960, he was the son of the late Melvin and Jeanie (Queen) Dunn and the grandson of the late James and Virginia (Whittaker) Queen. David spent most of his life in his home state of West Virginia, where he was known for his strong work ethic and steadfast independence. He approached life with determination and a quick wit, qualities that shaped his character and the way he met each day.
He held a lifelong love for animals and never hesitated to lend a hand to those in need, whether human or four-legged. Over the years, many pets found a home with him, each one reflecting his heart and kindness toward creatures great and small.
David is survived by his only daughter, Kathleen (Dunn) Beach and her husband Johnathan Beach; his two grandsons, Mason and Nash Beach; and his dear friend, Jennifer Burks whose friendship and care brought him great comfort in his final years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Dunn.
He will be remembered with love and affection by those who knew him, and for the many ways he made a quiet difference in the lives he touched. His memory will continue through the stories shared and the connections he made throughout his life.
Private services will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory to the Mercer County Animal Shelter. Contributions may be made online at mercercounty.wvanimalshelter.org or by mail to Mercer County Animal Shelter, 961 Shelter Rd, Princeton, WV, 24740. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com.
The Dunn family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on Athens Road in Princeton.
