Darrell William Widener, 86, of Bluefield, died peacefully at home Saturday , May 9, 2026, with his family by his side.

Born March 30, 1940, in Raven VA, he was the son of the late Roby Widener and Della Oliver Widener.

For most of his life, he was a truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to flea markets and collecting coins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Juanita Shorter Widener, siblings, John, Joe, Mason, Tommy, Joyce & Neoma.

Survivors include his children, William Widener & wife Jennifer, Clinton Widener & Sam Widener, seven grandchildren & eleven great grandchildren, three siblings, Deloris Hatch, Sammy Widener & Jimmy Widener.

In honoring his wishes, he has been cremated with no services.
