Clyde Vaught, 90, of Princeton, died Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Westwood Medical Park, Bluefield VA. Born March 22, 1932, at New Port VA, he was the son of the late Laban Vaught Sr. & Bonnie Sumter Vaught. Clyde was a graduate of Spanishburg High School and a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U.S. Army. He had a long career with Groseclose Electric in Bluefield for many years, after retirement he continue with this trade for several years. He was a member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church in Princeton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by nine siblings. Those left to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 68 years, Ileane Marie West Vaught, Son Kenny Vaught & wife Jennifer, three grandchildren, Andrew Vaught & wife Allie, Nicholas Vaught, Jenna Wilson & husband Chris, two great grandchildren, Grayson Vaught & Ava Wilson. Five siblings, Fred & Wanda Vaught, Dalmus Vaught, Dasil & Christine Vaught, Mae Shrewsbury & Gaye White along with a host of nieces & nephews, and his extended family Tyler Hilyer, Matthew Hilyer & Chelsea Walker. Services to celebrate the life of Clyde Vaught will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 5, 2022, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Dan Thyng & Jim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Vaught Family Cemetery, Nubbins Ridge, Spanishburg. Friends may visit with the family Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be family members.
