Clarence Donald Farley, 91, passed away in Princeton, WV on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Princeton, WV on October 11, 1931, to Eda and Mae A Harvey Farley. Donald graduated from Princeton Senior High School in 1950. He was a faithful member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church for 59 years serving as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. Donald retired from West Virginia Pipeline following 35 years of employment. He served our country in the United States Navy for six years which included time served during the three-year Korean War. As a Third Class Petty Officer, Donald received the National Defense Service Medal, Navy Occupation Award, and Good Conduct (1 st Award). Donald is survived by his three devoted daughters, Donna Pennington (Keith), Danita Farley, and Delta Farley. Eight grandchildren, Sonya, Josiah, Bryan, Kayla, Brittany, Daniel, Preston Donald, and Taylor; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Fred A. Farley and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his spouse of 60 years, Arlevia Hylton Farley; his parents; an infant son; five brothers, Burnace Farley, Teddy Farley, Clifton Farley, Willard Farley, and Eugene Farley; seven sisters, Annie Bailey, Ora Farley, Rosa Whann, Delta Smith, Edna Galyean, Dorothy Smith, and Ruby DiCarro. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton WV. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Johnston Chapel Baptist Church on Halls Ridge Road in Princeton, WV with Pastor Jim Simmons officiating. Burial with graveside service will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park on West Main Street in Princeton, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be Josiah Pennington, Bryan Pennington, Daniel Pennington, Preston Donald Shrewsbury, Robert Blevins (Grandsons); and Barry Don Smith (Nephew).
