Christopher "Chris" Everett Ervin, 39, of Rock, died unexpectedly Friday, September 26, 2025, at his residence. Born January 18, 1986, at Beckley, WV, he was the son of Joanne Chafin and the late Kenneth Ray Ervin Jr. After High School, Chris served his country proudly in the National Guard. Following his service, he started his own business as a web programmer. While his favorite hobby was programming, when not working he enjoyed yardwork and carpentry. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Everette Leslie Chafin. In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife, Sarah Ervin; daughter, Alexis Nickell; step daughter, Anabelle Linares, both of the home; brothers, Kenneth Ervin, III, of Rock, and Patrick Ervin, of Beckley; grandmother, Ann D. Chafin; aunts, Elizabeth Chafin and Terri Jackson; cousins, Jeremiah Jensen and Danny Jensen. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
