Charlotte Mae Hazelwood,72, of Elgood WV, departed this life on July 22nd 2023, to be ushered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. Born July 30 1950, she was the daughter of the late Glemmie Franklin Billings and Alma Opal Gilbert Billings. We learned a lot of lessons from her during her time with us on this earth; Love of God, Love your family, and don't burn the cornbread. Charlotte was a beautiful grandmother, loving mother and adoring wife to her husband of nearly 53 years. Her friends and family would say there wasn't anyone sweeter on Earth. She will be remembered for her fiercely loving  heart, clever nature, and being a pillar for Christ, for her community, family and friends. Sharky (as she was lovingly known to so many) will be missed but never forgotten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Dana Windford Hazelwood and siblings Bernard McArthur Billings, James Douglas Billings, Bernice Hazelwood, Linda Yost, Jr Billings, and Robert "Bobby" Billings. Left to cherish her memory are her 2 children Christopher Dana Hazelwood, and Amy Lynn Hazelwood Boone; Five grandchildren, Christopher Tyler Hazelwood, Alexandra Brook Degbe, William Tanner Hazelwood, Hunter Allen Boone, Kasie Rhianne Hazelwood; One great-grandchild, Dana Selorm Degbe. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm, Monday July 31 2023, at Elgood Cemetery with Pastor Becky Maynor officiating. Those attending the service are requested to meet at the cemetery by service hour. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
