Charles Henry Roark, 85, of the Unity Road, Princeton died peacefully early Tuesday morning, December 6, 2022, in Roanoke VA. Born March 1, 1937, in Bluefield, he was the son of the late Virginia Jean Culp. Charles was raised by his grandmother Susana Druzella Elizabeth Rollin Roark. Charles loved working with his hands, he will long be remembered for being a cabinet maker, he was well known in this area for his skills. He was a member of the New Horizons Nazarene Church in Athens. Charles enjoyed singing, especially in church and listening to Elvis. Those left to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Carol June Stewart Roark; Four children, Jean Roark Dunn (Rodney), Charles "Chuck" Roark, Kandy Mattox and Autumn Roark (DJ); Eight grandchildren; Eight great-grandchildren; Sister, Jenny Fletcher (Jim); Foster brother. John Cisco. Services to celebrate the life of Charles Roark will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 12, 2022, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Alvin Gearhart officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com . The Roark family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
