Charles Lucas Mann, 46, of Roanoke, VA, died peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2022, at his home. Born June 11, 1976, in Princeton, he was the son of Mary Ann Rorrer Mann of Princeton and the late William "Willie" Mann. Lucas was a graduate of Athens High School Class of 1994, he then entered the service to serve with the U.S. Marine Corp for four years, receiving numerous citations and awards.  Lucas enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter.  Also, he enjoyed, and stayed in touch with, many friends around the world and was known to call one out of the blue for a 2hr long conversation any time of day. Lucas was trained as a welder and took great pride in his work. In addition to his mother Mary, he is survived by one sister, Erin Conner and husband Jason; One brother, William Caleb Mann and wife Amber; Niece, Abbigail Conner; Nephew, Chase Conner; His companion and best friend, Carrie Williamson and her two children, Katelyn and Logan. To celebrate Lucas's life, a time of Sharing & Gathering will be held Friday, July 29, 2022, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton, with a flag presentation by the Marine Corp League at 6:30 P.M.
