Charles M. Dodrill, 93, of Princeton, died early Tuesday morning, April 12, 2022, at his home. Born November 4, 1928, in Oakvale, he was the son of late Walter Dodrill and Lena Chipps Dodrill Harvey. He was educated in Mercer County and was a retired employee from  Mountaineer Gas Company with over 30 years of service.  Charles was a charter member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church.  He was a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge # 1457 in Princeton. While his health permitted, he enjoyed camping, fishing and being in the outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Opal Mae Turner Dodrill, a son Daniel Ray Dodrill and three siblings, Walter, Bessie and Bonnie. Those left to cherish his memory, include his daughter, Teresa Heaton; Three grandchildren, Jessica Morgan, Dylan Myers and Amy Dodrill; Four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Taylor, Caylee and Stella; One sister, Connie Lawrence. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 15, 2022, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Jerry Martin officiating. Inurnment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
