charles Gordon cox, 86, of the Old Athens Road, Princeton passed away early Sunday morning, July 13, 2008 at the Princeton Health care Facility surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Born March 17, 1922, at Springville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Gordon Kelly cox and Linnie Tibbs cox. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. For many years, he served as a carpenter, and for his last ten working years, he was a sales foreman at Princeton Motor Sales. charles cox was a man who led a quite and simple life. His hobbies included beekeeping, gardening, hunting, bird and animal watching, as well as working puzzles. He made peace by placing his faith in christ as his Lord and Savior. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Edith Lang cox, along with a brother, Oren cox and a sister, cecil May cox. Tuesday, July 15, 2008 from the Burns Wornal chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Jimmie Jones, Jim Simmons, and Jim Nofsinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park cemetery in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family today (Monday) from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. His grandsons and husbands of his granddaughters will serve as pallbearers.
