Carolyn Emerson Spencer, 72, passed away Monday, December 05, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, West Virginia. Carolyn had requested no service. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Henry County, Virginia until she and her husband, Wayne moved to Pipestem, West Virginia. She was office manager for Piedmont Foot Center in Martinsville, Va. She and Wayne enjoyed their retirement spending their summers in West Virginia and winters in Florida, South Carolina and traveling out West. She enjoyed crafts of all types and was known for her woodworking and painting. Carolyn enjoyed life and was most at home with her friends in West Virginia. Riding through the hills on her gator was one of her biggest joys. Carolyn was especially close to Loretta and Ronnie Bailey. Carolyn was grateful to Loretta and her family for the care she received over the last several years. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Spencer. Carolyn also thanks the doctors and staff of Princeton Community Hospital for the care she received over the last several years.
