Dr. Carl Joseph Chapman, 86, of Athens, died early Monday morning, August 4, 2025, at a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born July 4, 1939, in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Bernard Chapman & Wanda Edmonds Chapman. Dr. Chapman was a graduate of Lebanon High School, in Lebanon New Hampshire, enrolled at the University of New Hampshire, where he received his Bachelors & Doctorate degree in Biology.  Dr. Chapman was professor of Biology at Concord College in Athens for more than 30 years.  During his life, and while his health permitted, he enjoyed gardening, working with stain glass to create lamps of all sizes, and antiquing. Those left to cherish his memory, he devoted wife of 60 years, Sharon Clark Chapman, two siblings, William F. Chapman of Lebanon NH. & Susan Clark of Belmont MA. In honoring Dr. Chapman's wishes, he has been cremated and no services.  Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com.
