Obituary

Candice Lee "Candy" Thomas Cole, 73 of Princeton went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from Glenwood Healthcare Center surrounded by her loving family. Born January 29, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Georgia Etta "Tootsie" and Robert "Bob" Thomas. Candy was a homemaker for 36 years. She was a loving wife and mother who made sure her family was taken care of. Candy had a passion for sewing and crafting, often making beautiful clothing, wreaths, cakes, etc…She also loved the holidays often going the extra mile to make them the best as possible. Candy was of the Baptist faith and served as the church secretary for Liberty Baptist Church for more than 5 years. She was a member of Liberty Baptist church for several years before transitioning to Maranatha Baptist Church. Candy was also known for her love and passion she had for taking care of children. Candy was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Diane Blevins, one son Gregory "Keith" Cole II and in laws Paul and Margaret Cole. Those left to love and cherish Candy's memory are her loving husband of 36 years Greg, son in law and caregiver Joshua Trent-Cole of Princeton. Sons, Jason (Hope) Blevins of Princeton and Elijah Cole of the home. One Sister, Pam (Eddie) Hickey of Stoneville, NC, two Brothers-in-law, Stacey Cole (Velvet) Cole and Jerry Cole both of Princeton. Sister-in-law, Sherry (Howard) Seal of Princeton. Two Grandchildren, Sydney (Tyler) Chang of Mountain View, CA and Matthew (Kristen) Blevins also of Princeton. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and an abundance of friends also survive. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Greg Kinzer officiating. Burial will follow in Cole Family Cemetery in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Candy is now healed in Glory and walking the streets of Gold. The Cole family would like to thank the staff of Glenwood Healthcare Center for taking such good care of Mrs. Candy during her stay.
