Caleb Tate Walthall, 22, of Kathleen, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 20, 2024, in Nashville, TN. Currently serving active duty in the United States Army at Fort Campbell Kentucky, Caleb was a proud soldier dedicated to his country.
Born on August 26, 2002, in Warner Robins, GA, he was a 2021 graduate of Houston County High School. Caleb was known for his adventurous spirit, thriving on adrenaline-fueled activities such as skateboarding, motorcycling, roller coasters, and snow skiing. A true thrill seeker at heart, he also had a passion for tattoos and aspired to become a tattoo artist, as well as cars and tinkering on cars. Caleb's warmth and kindness extended to all he encountered. He was an avid animal lover, especially fond of his cat, Hulk, and had a deep affection for children, particularly babies. His eagerness to please others and his infectious enthusiasm made a lasting impression on those around him.
Caleb was preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers, Robert H. Walthall III and Bob Winfrey; maternal grandparents, William and Sukanya Kovash; and step-grandmothers Wanda Hudson Clark and Karen Coleman. He is survived by his loving parents, Robert Tate Walthall (Christi) of Warner Robins, GA, and Sabrina Renee (Kovash) Ranger (Seth) of Kathleen, GA; siblings Ashlyn Ivie, Boston Ranger, Berkeley Ranger, and Channing Walthall; paternal grandmother Pamela Winfrey and her companion, David Williams of Princeton, WV; step-grandfather Phil Coleman of Perry, GA; step-grandparents Craig and Debra Ranger of Warner Robins, GA; aunts and uncles Stephen Kovash, Patricia Kovash, Alicia Carter (Eric), Stephen Coleman (Stefanie), Lauren Weldon, and Neil Weldon; as well as numerous cousins and extended family.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. A celebration of Caleb's life will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory, with interment immediately following at Parkway Memorial Gardens, where he will receive full military honors. Pastor Gabe Cox will officiate the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Paul Walker Foundation at paulwalkerfoundation.org.
Caleb's vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
