Brenda Sue Pettry, 74, of Deer Cliff Lane, entered her eternal home, Wednesday, February 1, 2023, with her family by her side. Born, April 22, 1948, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Hershel Goode and Majorie Powell Goode. Brenda loved her Lord and family and was a faithful member of the Lerona United Methodist Church up until her health started failing. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Brenda was a 1966 graduate of Athens High School and also a graduate of Little French Beauty Academy in Bluefield and was a hair dresser for 25 years as owner of the Hair House in Bluefield. Brenda was a collector of angels, enjoyed the outdoors, especially her flowers and gardening and was a big fan of WVU Mountaineers and the Marshall Thundering Herd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Linda Goode and her brother Charles  (Chuckie) Goode. Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Gary Warren Pettry; Two sons, Rev. Michael Warren Pettry, Mark Edward Pettry and wife Mary Ann; Two grandchildren, Joshua Pettry, Jacob Pettry and wife Dezy; Two great-grandchildren; Naomi and Arabella; Also surviving are several cousins, friends and her church family.  The family would like to thank Hospice Compassus for all their kindness and care shown to the family during this time. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Brenda Pettry, will held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton, with Pastor David White officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 Noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Men of the church will serve as pallbearers.  The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be sent in Brenda's name to; Hospice Compassus, 1330 Mercer Street, Princeton, WV 24740.
