Boyd Raymond Pendleton, 89, of Princeton, died Wednesday afternoon, December 21, 2022, at his home with his loving family by his side. Born January 13, 1933, at Elgood, he was the son of the late James Pendleton and Mary "Kate" Thompson Pendleton. Educated in Mercer County, he joined the U.S. Army at a young age, to serve with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, obtaining the rank of Sergeant. Boyd was a retired steel Fabricator for JW Steel Fabrications in Princeton. Boyd was gifted with his hands, he had the ability to build, repair or fix anything. He loved building model planes, bird watching and tinkering. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Beulah Pendleton, five siblings: Ellis, Roy, Mary, Molly and Sally. Those left to cherish his memory, three caring children; Steven Boyd Pendleton (Amy), Terry Edward Pendleton (Vanessa), Amy Watkins (Jerry); Eight grandchildren, Alyssa Pendleton, Austin Pendleton (Georgia), Christian Pendleton, Savanah Cline, Amanda Skeens (Colton), Cameron Conner, Zackary Watkins (Emma), Josie Denny (Chris), Six great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Nathaniel, Noah, Joanna, Juniper and Dominick; Two siblings, Frankie Pendleton and Emma Robertson (Claude), and his beloved companion, Norma Scott.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Dr. Dan Jividen officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the U.S. Army National Honor Guard and the VFW Post 1144 of Iaeger in Mt. Horeb Cemetery near Princeton.  Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.
