Bonnie Helen Lilly, 96, of Lerona, formerly of Speedway, died peacefully Monday, September 16, 2024, at her daughters' home. Born April 24, 1928, at Pride (Speedway), she was the daughter of the late Dean Addison Snider and Bonnie Mae Cook Snider.

Bonnie was the Valedictorian of her graduating class at Athens High School. She had previously worked at Maidenform and retired from Concord College in Athens as a Cook with 24 years of service. While her health permitted, she enjoyed farming, cooking, sewing and reading. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Charles Emerson Lilly, son, Steven Charles Lilly, along with seven siblings. Those left to cherish her memory, her four children and their spouses, Retha Wilkerson and husband William, Norma Jean Southworth and husband Charles, Darrel Emerson Lilly and wife Sharon and Bonnie Carol Gillian; Twelve grandchildren; Fifteen great-grandchildren; One great-great-grandchild; One brother Mason Snider and wife Betty Jo; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 24, 2024, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Eddie Wimmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Snider Family Cemetery at Speedway. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
