Billie Maxine Barie, 92, of Princeton, died Sunday, July 19, 2026, in Princeton. She was born in Jenkinjones, VA and was the daughter of the late Kohlar Kendrick Culbertson and Iva Mae Austin Culbertson. Billie was a graduate of Graham High School. She was a former employee of Emico Corporation and Princeton Community Hospital. Billie was an active member of Memorial Church of Christ. Anyone who knew Billie knew she lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed singing and dancing which she did both for many years. She also loved children of all ages and they were attracted to her due to her nurturing and caring nature. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Preston Angles of Bluefield VA; five siblings; Vera Adebelle Culbertson, Bascom Edward Culbertson, Jackie Freeman Culbertson, Richard Allen Culbertson and Juanita Maude Charlton. Survivors include her devoted husband of 32 years, Donald E. “Danny” Barie, two children, Brenda Angles Cichowski and husband Stan, Emmajean Angles Johnson and husband Roger, and one brother, Lawrence Culbertson of Miami, FL; Stepchildren, Danny Barie and wife Alita, Gary Barie and wife Holly, Theresa Atkins and husband Michael, Amanda Broyles and husband Paul III. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 great- great - grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. Services to celebrate the life of Billie Barie will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Memorial Church of Christ, New Hope Road, Princeton with Kenneth Hylton speaking. Inurnment will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens 38659 Gov George C Perry Highway, Bluefield VA. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour. Friends may share condolences with the family via www.memorialfd.com In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Abel Crisis Center, 201 Sylvia Street, Bluefield WV 24701.
