Beverly Dawn Sloan Taylor, 66, of Princeton, died early Monday morning, May 8, 2023, at her home. Born November 21, 1956, at Princeton, she was the daughter of the late George Sloan Sr. and Ellen Joyce Vest Sloan. She was a graduate of Princeton High School and National Business College. Beverly spent her entire career in the medical field, having worked for Princeton Community Hospital, and in the offices of Dr. Safder and Dr. Chambers as a medical transcriptionist. She was an active member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in the nursery and with the youth of the church. While her health permitted, she enjoyed bowling, diamond art and being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Myron W. Taylor, two siblings: George David Sloan Jr. and Eileen Sloan Smith. Survivors include her sister, Barbara Sloan Lowe along with a host of nieces and nephews, Tonia Comer, Angie Mathena, Michael Smith, Aaron, Joshua and Kaleb Lowe, Amy Smith and Kirsten Comer. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 12, 2023, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Jim Simmons and Dan Thyng officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
