Betty Jo White Lambert of Richmond, VA went on her journey to eternal life to be with Jesus on October 15,2022. Born April 7, 1926, in Princeton WV, she was the daughter of the late Nathan English White Sr. and Ruth Hazel Damewood. Addition to her parents, she is preceded by death by her beloved husband, Walter Lambert Jr. whom she married June 4,1949; and her devoted sister, Sarah Kathryn White Young. She is survived by those who will cherish her memory; her daughter Judith Lynn Lambert Fain and husband Robert E. Fain of Richmond, VA; son Steven Walter Lambert and wife Shirley Lambert of Victoria, VA; two grandsons, Jonathan Edward Fain and Nathan Andrew Fain; one brother, Nathan E. White Jr. and wife, Lucille White of Princeton, WV; and many nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Concord University, Athens WV in 1948 having received a B.S. Degree in Home Economics and Biology, where she received an award for being the most outstanding Home Economics student in Kappa Omicron Phi professional fraternity. She began her career employed as a Home Economist by Appalachian Electric Power Co. in Bluefield, WV; teacher in Giles County Public School System of VA and Kanawha County of WV, an office manager for Walter Lambert & Associates; and an entrepreneur and retail business owner of Stretch & Sew Fabrics bringing a new and innovative retail business to the Richmond area, where she taught hundreds of adult students to sew with knit fabrics. She loved to travel which encompassed every US state except Alaska and Hawaii. Additionally, she toured Mexico, Canada, Switzerland, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy and Israel. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Princeton, WV, First Christian Church in Charleston, WV, and Colonial Place Christian Church in Richmond, VA, where she served in various capacities. She was bestowed with many talents and giftings which included sewing and designing, cooking, flower gardening, golfing, playing piano, and organizing programs and productions that include choirs, fashion shows, and inspiring speeches. The family will receive friends Monday, October 24, 2022, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Directory. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 25 at 1:00 p.m. with her daughter, Judith Lynn Fain serving as Eulogist. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV. Following the services, a reception will be held at the Chuck Mathena, #2 Stafford Commons, in Princeton. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com .
