Betty Jean "BJ" Neely, 74, of Princeton, died suddenly Friday, August 25, 2023, at her home. Born November 7, 1948, in Morgantown, she was the daughter of the late Carl Dailey & Marie Schmidt Dailey. After graduation from high school, BJ attended Nursing school. She was a faithful and devoted employee with Princeton Community Hospital for over 35 years. BJ loved to work crossword puzzles, an avid WVU fan and loved her animals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by two stepsons: Bandon Neely & Josh Dixon and three sisters, Nancy Liddle, Louise Pritt aand Catherine Johnston.  Those left to cherish her memory, her husband Roy Neely, daughter Donna Barton & husband Mark, grandson Cortland Hurst. One sister, Mary Radcliffe & husband Huey, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2023, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Jim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Mount Cemetery on Thursday, 10:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until the service hour.
