Betty (Ginny) Jean DeBoard, 86, of Mercer Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bluefield, died Friday, May 20, 2022, at her residence. Born April 4, 1936, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Dave Harvey and Nora Lucille Carter Harvey. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Betty loved the Lord and was a member and a prayer warrior of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church on Halls Ridge Road. She was a graduate of Princeton High School, had worked for K-Mart in Princeton as a Sales Associate, was very involved in the Cub Scouts and for over 25 years was a Pink Lady Volunteer for Princeton Community Hospital where she always greeted you with a smile. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lewis DeBoard. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Anita Sisk, David DeBoard; Four grandchildren; Eight great-grandchildren; Her church family also survives. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Betty DeBoard will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory with Pastor Jim Simmons officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
