Betty Lee Jarrell, 88, of Bluefield, went home to glory Wednesday evening, July 23, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born April 18, 1937, in Bluefield, she was the daughter of the late Tom Starling & Mattie Belle Kidd Linhart.

Betty was a caregiver, having worked at Glenwood Retirement Center. She was a member of the Free Pentecostal Church of God on Harrison Street in Princeton. Betty loved her flowers, cooking, going to church and most of all her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Calvin Daniel Jarrell, two grandchildren, Donnie Reed and Andrea Sales and   two siblings, Mildred Byrd and Bud Starling.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Albert D. Jarrell, three children, Martha Reed & husband Robert, Kenneth Wayne Jarrell and companion Beverly Downing, Kimberly Tallent & husband Paul, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren & a host of great great grandchildren.

A Private cryptside service will be held in the Chapel of Wildwood Mausoleum, Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastors David Barnett & Sammy Poteet officiating. The family will meet at the cemetery.
