Betty Ann Hazelwood, 86, of Princeton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at Mercer Healthcare Center.

Born on July 17, 1939, in Princeton, West Virginia, Betty was the daughter of the late Allen Bailey and Ruby Bailey. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Bailey; her soulmate, Claude Hazelwood; and her beloved son, James A. Roland.

Betty dedicated many years of service to Eimco, where she worked as a Purchasing Agent until her retirement in 2000. She was known for her strong work ethic, devotion to her family, and the simple joys she found in life.

She enjoyed sewing, canning, and farming, taking great pride in the skills and traditions she passed down through generations. Betty treasured time spent with her family and created many lasting memories through her love, guidance, and care.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Robertson of Princeton; her grandsons, Claude Roland (Kelly Roland) and Daniel Roland (Danielle Roland); and her cherished great­grandchildren, James Roland, Ava Roland, Lydia Roland, Noah Roland, Catelyn Roland, and Austin Shields.

Betty will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 11, 2026, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Johnny Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from Noon until the service hour.
