Archie Lee Lawson, 82, of Bluefield, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 21, 2024, in Bluefield. Born February 19, 1942, in Bluefield, he was the son of the late Lee Lawson & Bessie Mae Harris Lawson. Archie was educated in Mercer County and was a lifelong resident of West Virginia. He wrote seven books, over two hundred songs, and over 500 articles on various subjects. Archie was a former employee of Bluefield Daily Telegraph; and at one time had a T V repair service in Bluefield. He was survived by three children, Deborah, Connie & Brenda. A private graveside service was held Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery in Princeton. The Lawson family was served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
