Anthony Dale Wimmer, 69 years old, and resident of Kegley, WV, died October 19, 2022, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born March 10, 1953, to the late Gerald Wimmer and the late Johncie Mae (Eller) Wimmer. Anthony was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He retired as a mechanic with the WV Department of Highways (Princeton Division ). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Wimmer and three nephews, Frank Chernuton Jr., Christopher Wimmer and Terry Wimmer. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted family, One brother, Robert Thompson; Two sister's Martha (Wimmer/Chernuton) Bowman and Mary (Wimmer/McBride) Smith; Nephews, Robert Thompson Jr (Robbie), Kenneth Thompson, Wesley Thompson, Dakoata McBride, Mark Chernuton, Kevin Chernuton and Gary Wimmer; Nieces, Balinda (Thompson) Cox and Abigail (McBride) Plymale; Special friend, Tina Hester of Matoaka, WV. Thank you to his wonderful friends, Tim and Sharon, with assisting Anthony meals and errands. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Anthony Wimmer will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 23, 2022, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor C.T. Lilly, III officiating.  Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held Monday, October 24, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.  Those attending the graveside rites are requested to meet at the funeral home no later than 9:45 A.M.
