Alice Burnita "Boochie" Adams Wilkins of Mullens, WV passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025 at her family's home in Raleigh, NC. Born in Mullens, WV, she was the daughter of the late Burbridge and Juanita Brabbin Adams. Burnita grew up in Alpoca, WV and graduated from Mullens High School. She attended the Watts Hospital School of Nursing in Durham, NC and went on to further her education becoming a Certified Nurse Anesthetist. Burnita worked at Watts Hospital and the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospital before staying at home to care for her family. She was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mullens, loved her friends, neighbors and family (especially her grandsons). She always had a pot of warm coffee ready and space for all at her table. Burnita is survived by her daughter, Laura Wilkins Swain, son-in-law Jim Swain, and cherished grandsons Nicholas Swain and Andrew Swain and his wife Alicia Swain of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law Judy Adams, niece, Whitney Adams, nephew Wesley Adams and wife Dani, and children, all of Gallipolis, OH, and multiple cousins and close family friends. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Princeton, WV with Pastor Louis Arnold officiating. Those attending the service are requested to meet at the cemetery by service hour.  Neither flowers nor charitable contributions are necessary, but if desired, donations can be directed to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, Mullens, WV.  Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com.  The Wilkins family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
