Aletta Gale Burks, 80, of Crumpler, died Monday, March 11, 2024, at her residence. Born April 4, 1943, in Amonate Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Arvill Lee Spears and Willie Mae Willis Spears. Aletta was the last surviving member of her family those that preceded her death her husband Steelie Robert Burks, her brothers Marvin and James. Sisters Lillian, Mildred, Wilma, Betty. Left to cherish her memory are children Alan Keith Burks of Crumpler, Lisa Thomasson and husband Ralph of Crumpler, Kimberly Baker and husband Mark of Bluefield. Grandchildren Josh, Derek, Justin, Megan, Kristen, Bethany, Brianna, Gretchen, Brittany. Several Great Grandchildren. Niece Clella Nowlin and Special Niece Diane Koger who she said was like her sister, and Nephew Michael Lafferty. The family has honored Aletta's wish to been cremated and inurned at Grandview Memory Gardens with her husband at a later date.
